Authentic Wellness Check-In: People-Pleaser with Sophia Antoine

Meet the Wellness Encourager

Sheniqua Johnson is a nurse by trade, but her bedside manner extends way beyond the hospital. She is an advocate for wellness. This means Sheniqua has a passion for a life filled with balance and mindfulness. So much so that she developed an online learning platform called A Better U Academy.

A Better U Academy is an online school that launched on November 18, 2021. The Academy has rolling semesters to allow for continuous enrollment and there are case managers on staff to provide guidance for those enrollees who may not be sure of their next move.

It is the mission of Sheniqua and A Better U Academy to reconnect you with your mental and physical wellness. Sheniqua suggests the best way to get started on your wellness is to refine your vocabulary starting by adding the word “NO”. She believes it is no longer necessary to sacrifice yourself so others can feel comfortable.
