The Importance of Self-Care
So before I get to the good stuff, I am having a George Washington moment. I cannot tell a lie. You will actually have the opportunity to learn about more than five apps. You will actually get ten or more. Whew!! I feel better now.
Back to self-care. Allow me to state the obvious: You need to take care of yourself. You only have one body and you have to take care of it. I am not just talking about physically, but you have to provide mental, emotional, and spiritual support for your body as well. You are a WHOLE person and you have to take care of your WHOLE body.
I am sure you are wondering how you’re gonna do that when you are as busy as the day is long.
I’m glad you asked.
The List
I have all of these apps on my phone and I can vouch for every one. They make my life easier and more organized. I encourage you to get a couple at a time so you won’t be overwhelmed trying to master them all at once.
Endomondo – This is my favorite fitness app. It works whether you have wearable technology or not. You can make your own challenges and invite your friends to participate. I have a challenge going on right now. I am determined to be fit for my fortieth birthday. You are welcome to join me. Click HERE to be added.
My Calendar – This is the exact app I use to track my cycles. It’s helpful when I visit my doctors. It allows the user to enter their moods and body changes throughout the month.
Days Left Widget – This app will allow you to keep track of important dates. You can put several different events on your home screen and free up some space in your mind.
Wunderlist – I have never seen a to-do list app like this before. You can add all of your family members and make shopping lists, share ideas, and plan outings.
Thanks Diary – Think of this app as an online gratitude journal. It will remind you to jot down what you are thankful for each day so you’re not lost in the chaos of the world.
Each app name is a clickable link that will take you to the google play store so you can download the app right away. If you have an apple device, I am not sure if the exact same apps exist there, but give it a try.
I’d love for you to have the entire list of self-care apps. Fill in your name and email address below and I will send you the complete Self Care Toolkit.
I’ve heard it takes approximately 21 days to form a habit. Do yourself a favor and start the self-care habit today.
Even if you don’t install any of the apps on your phone, you still owe it to yourself to take care of yourself. It’s pretty selfish if you don’t. You are valuable to a lot of people and they need you. Why not be your very best when they come calling?
Leave me a comment letting me know how you practice self-care now and what app you plan to try.
I love all of the apps on the list thanks!
I am glad you do. Thank you for taking time to comment and invest in self-care. We need you.
Wow, Sophia that is great. Love the concept of self-care. Thanks for sharing.
I am so glad you like it, Trinette. We often fall behind on caring for ourselves because we are taking care of others.
Sophia I plan to utilize the remaining four due to the fact I already use one thus far. I am glad how you broke down how you utilize each app to take care of yourself. Thanks for the encouragement.
It is awesome to know that you find value in the apps, Dr. Regina. Please come back and let me know how it goes.
