Yep, you read that right. Just sit in your mess. We, because I do it too, tend to want to get away from the uncomfortable feelings that have the potential to make lasting changes in our lives. We rush through them. We want to hurry to the other side not realizing that there is so much more to the emotional obstacles that we encounter.

So take a gander at the video and let me know what you think.

OKay, so?

I know it was a bit unconventional, but I have committed to being authentic (oh, that word is so overused) in everything I release. I was tired, but it was important. Kindly pardon my fatigue.

Now that I’ve addressed that, let’s get to the meat and potatoes of the whole thing. Do you see how some habits or reactions could be holding you back from making progress your relationships?

Here are the steps again so you can review:

  • Think about what happened.
  • Why did it happen?
  • What was your reaction?
  • Why was THAT your reaction?
  • Could you have responded better? If yes, how?
  • Do you notice a pattern?
  • If yes, how has this pattern served you?

It may take a while to notice patterns the first few times you do this exercise, but trust yourself and allow the process to work.

Here is a worksheet that will help you form new habits and commit to being successful in the future.

I’d love to hear from you. You can leave me a comment below or reply to the email when you get the form. Either way, let’s get a dialogue going.
