Hello and welcome to my very first word of the week blog post.

I was perusing the web today and happened upon Jocelyn’s blog. It’s been years since I participated in a linky party, never from this blog, so I thought it would be fun. I am all about giving thought to my experiences and this is a great way to do it. As I understand it, I am to think over my week and use one word to describe it.

My word for this week:

Determined. In all actuality, I could name the month determined as well.

As you may recall, I started a new job in June. I was exceptionally hard on myself in regards to learning everything that was expected as well as performing at a level that I found acceptable. I am well aware that I am way harder on myself than I have to be, but it doesn’t seem to stop me.

Needless to say, within the last few weeks, everything started to click. I was performing very well and I was completing tasks with ease. I felt so good about my work that I stopped having my manager review my work prior to sending it out. YAY ME!!

To be completely honest, when I got laid off from my previous job, my self-esteem took a bit of a blow. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to adapt to a new workplace, but I am doing just fine. I am excited about the future and a great weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I am looking forward to next week.

FYI – I know this post is one day off and that’s okay. I didn’t want to wait to participate. Next week’s post will go live on Saturday. I hope you enjoyed it enough to come back. You can also use the links below to connect with me on other social media platforms. I simply love making new friends.
